MISSION OBJECTIVE
The Operations (Facilities) unit provides technical and programmatic support services in the areas of Facility & Safety Management, External Facility Management, IT, Fleet Management and expansion Project Management which is critical to achieving the organisation’s mission through resource planning, coordination, and management to support the organisation's internal and external stakeholders.
The Steward is responsible for all aspects of cleaning services of all EHA Clinics’ facility areas as assigned. The Steward works with the facility team to ensure inventory and restock of all service items, linens, toiletries and other supplies necessary. S/he works together as a team to accomplish the task of maintaining a safe, efficient and enjoyable workplace.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PROVIDE ROUTINE SUPPORT
PURPOSE
- Ensure compliance with company regulations and established internal policies and guidelines.
- Transport employees and other individuals as directed in a safe and responsible manner.
- Shuttle transportation for campaigns, driving patients in an ambulance, projects, airports, and distribution runs.
AWARE
ENGAGEMENT
- Report all safety, security, and driving incidents to the supervisor immediately, where possible. Present a professional demeanour at all times and approach others in a tactful manner.
- Maintain a professional and friendly approach to management, supervisors, and colleagues.
CONSISTENT REPETITION
DELIVERY
- Maintain schedules of pick-up and drop-off assignments. Ensure that all relevant notification procedures are followed during absence from work. Frequently travel between company worksites.
- Ensure vehicles are in a proper and safe condition prior to use. Reports any damages or mechanical malfunctions and provides recommendations for repairs. Keep assigned vehicles clean, free from damage, and in acceptable condition consistently.
- Ensure routine check-up of vehicles and comply with relevant laws and company policies regarding the use of mobile phones, smoking in company vehicles, and/or the use of prohibited equipment whilst on duty.
TARGETED SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
- Completion of Secondary School
- Proficiency in the English language essential to understanding written and spoken instruction.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance process
