Mission Objective 

The Operations (Facilities) unit provides technical and programmatic support services in the areas of Facility & Safety Management, External Facility Management, IT, Fleet Management and expansion Project Management which is critical to achieving the organisation’s mission through resource planning, coordination, and management to support the organisation’s internal and external stakeholders.


The Facility supervisor performs, plans, directs, coordinates and controls all facility maintenance to ensure proper safety, sanitation and mechanical functions for the facility including; grounds and equipment. The Facility coordinator is responsible for the overall facility coordination, managing all building and equipment maintenance.


          Duties  &  Responsibilities 

 PURPOSE

  • Drafts and Implement preventive maintenance schedule for buildings and equipment. Ensuring Effective Space management and work station allocation
  • Supervises and manages work in progress and upon completion, ensures compliance with project plans and specifications and acceptable Standard.
  • Ensure uptime of critical equipment both medical and non medical.
  • Conducts routine inspection on all structural, plumbing, electrical, equipment and related systems, to ensure they are functioning and available. 
  • Ensures availability of Utility supplies such as diesel, water, electricity, spares parts.



ENGAGEMENT

  • Recommend remedial measures to address issues related to the facility to improve work standards.
  • Identify issues/challenges found from project/facility monitoring.
  • Responsible for managing vendor deliverables.
  • Ensure invoices are processed and follow up for payment. Sending monthly reports on facility management and performance.

              

DELIVERY

  • Execute budget compilation and implementation.
  • Monitors the facility’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI). And coordinate emergency preparedness programs.
  • Ensures adherence to Standard operating procedures (SOPs) of the department and Organisation at large. Ensures adherence to safety and security
  • standards/protocols throughout the facility.


          Targeted Specialized Knowledge  

  • B.Sc in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical, Engineering, Facilities, Management or any related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, with exceptional knowledge of Google Sheet and Google Slides.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritise work.
  • Knowledge of project and task management tools such as Asana, Redbooth
  • At least 4 years’ working experience in the field. Certification in Facility
  • Management and Project Management is preferred.
